Abstract

RENPOWS (Renewable Energy Power Supply) is a green energy innovation developed by DENOP to address the power needs of portable and distributed systems such as CANTHAS, PANCER, and PORDEC. Designed for small to medium-scale power systems, RENPOWS offers an eco-friendly, hybrid power module that utilizes solar and wind energy. Its smart IoT-based control system ensures efficient power regulation, making it ideal for off-grid and emergency applications.

Introduction

As digital systems expand to rural and off-grid areas, especially for critical missions and disaster recovery, reliable and sustainable power becomes a key enabler. Conventional fuel-powered generators not only pollute the environment but also require continuous fuel supply and maintenance.

To solve this, DENOP introduces RENPOWS, a modular renewable energy platform built to supply electricity in a smart and efficient manner. It supports multiple use cases ranging from powering mobile base stations to standalone data centers in remote locations.

Key Features

  1. Multisource Renewable Input
    • Supports solar, wind, or hybrid (solar+wind) configurations.
  2. Adjustable Output Voltage
    • Output voltage can be configured based on device requirements (CANTHAS, PANCER, etc.).
  3. 🌐 IoT-Based Control Module
    • Enables smart scheduling, remote monitoring, and energy usage optimization.
  4. ♻️ Environmentally Friendly
    • Designed as a green alternative to diesel generators.
  5. 🔋 Automatic Switching & Cut-off
    • Built-in system for power prioritization, safety cut-offs, and time-based switching between energy sources.
  6. 📦 Minimalist & Customizable Design
    • Modular and space-efficient, suitable for integration with other portable systems.

Applications

RENPOWS is engineered to power a wide variety of DENOP technologies and external systems:

  • 🛰️ CANTHAS – Mobile 4G/5G radio access platforms
  • 📡 PANCER – Portable mobile core network engine
  • 🖥️ PORDEC – Portable data center enclosure
  • ⚙️ Custom IoT and edge computing systems in remote areas

It enables self-sustained field deployment, making it ideal for:

  • Natural disaster recovery zones
  • Remote islands and unconnected villages
  • Tactical field operations
  • Green campuses and innovation testbeds

Architecture Overview

The RENPOWS system includes:

  • Solar panel arrays and/or micro wind turbines
  • Battery bank with charge controller
  • IoT-enabled control interface (via web or local dashboard)
  • Smart energy distribution module

It supports both off-grid standalone operation and integration with hybrid setups that combine grid power when available.

Strategic Benefits

  • 🔌 Zero Fuel Cost: No recurring fuel purchases
  • 📉 Reduced OPEX & CAPEX: Lower long-term costs than traditional gensets
  • 🌍 Carbon Footprint Reduction: Supports environmental sustainability goals
  • 🛠️ Low Maintenance: Minimal moving parts and long operational life

Future Development Roadmap

  • AI-based load forecasting and energy usage optimization
  • Integration with blockchain for green energy credits tracking
  • Expansion to large-scale microgrid deployment
  • Enhanced weather adaptive input prioritization
